The Little Explorers Academy
Hands-on AI, Machine Learning, Robotics, Engineering, Math & Science — reimagined for little hands and huge imaginations. Because the best way to understand the future is to build it.
Kids learn by making
No worksheets, no lectures. Just curious children collecting, tinkering, training and building — discovering how technology really works by making cool things with their own hands.
Five worlds. One curious child.
Every term, our explorers journey through a new imaginative world — and in each one they meet the same six future-ready subjects, retold as an adventure.
Earth
Dig into soil, chase rainbows and befriend every creature — our Earth world turns little ones into planet-loving detectives.
What your child will discover
Artificial Intelligence
Teach a smart camera to recognise faces, animals and even feelings — then watch it wave hello back.
Machine Learning
Show the computer lots of examples until it learns to tell them apart — like teaching a puppy a brand-new trick.
Robotics
Build and program a friendly robot that can move, light up, follow a line and even dance.
Engineering
Design, build and test — bridges, rockets, gadgets and machines that really, truly work.
Math
Count, measure, spot patterns and crack secret codes through games and hands-on puzzles.
Science
Mix, grow, float and fizz — safe, hands-on experiments that answer the biggest "why?" questions.
How the magic works
Every AI project follows the same four friendly steps — simple enough for a five-year-old, powerful enough to build real, working technology.
1 · Collect
Gather examples — snap photos, record sounds, sort a pile of objects.
2 · Train
Show them to the computer so it spots the pattern all by itself.
3 · Test
Try it out! Did it guess right? If not, teach it a little more.
4 · Make
Build something amazing — a game, a robot or a helpful gadget.
Hands busy, minds soaring
From first block of code to first working robot — every project starts with a question and ends with a proud "I made this!"
Projects they'll build & take home
Animal Detective
Train the AI to recognise cats, dogs and elephants from photos.
Line-Following Robot
Program a robot to follow a winding track all by itself.
Emotion Camera
Make a camera that knows if you're happy, sad or surprised.
Chatty Helper
Build a friendly voice assistant that listens and talks back.
Recycling Robot
Teach a robot to sort paper, plastic and cans into the right bin.
Magic Face Filters
Add silly hats and glasses that follow your face as you move.
Wave-to-Go Robot
Control a robot with nothing but your hand gestures.
Doodle Guesser
The computer tries to guess what you're drawing as you draw it.
Rocket Launcher
Build and blast off a bottle rocket — engineering meets math.
Real tools, made for little hands
🧩 PlayCode Studio
Colourful code blocks that snap together like LEGO — no typing needed. Kids move robots, train their own AI models and make games, all by dragging blocks.
🤖 Sparky the Robot
A palm-sized robot friend that lights up, senses, moves, listens and learns. Children bring Sparky to life with their code — the moment it responds is pure magic.
Skills that last a lifetime
Your child isn't learning to code for a job that exists today — they're building the thinking, creativity and confidence for a future we can't yet imagine.
Growing, one rung at a time
Every child starts where they are and climbs at their own happy pace — from unplugged play to their very first AI helper.
Little Tinkerers
Unplugged play: sorting, patterns, cause-and-effect, building and asking big questions.
Block Builders
First drag-and-drop coding, friendly robots and simple "train the computer" games.
Junior Innovators
Real projects — face-detection cameras, line-following robots and their first AI helpers.
Next steps
Ready to graduate to block & Python coding, advanced robotics and inventions of their own.
Give your explorer a head start
Places in the Little Explorers Academy are limited each term. Book a tour to see the STEAM lab in action and meet Sparky.
